The 8.000.000 tons of waste that end up in world oceans and seas every year.
There is no single efficient solution that is applied today.
Salvaytion Unity wants to create a fence to stop the flows of waste at rivers’ level.
To build this fence, we need tools.
These tools are emerging technologies & human initiatives that are either currently under development or already used but scattered around the world.
We need to gather together. We need to join forces and work in a coordinated way to gain efficiency.
The main features of the solution
To choose and multiply the adapted technologies and initiaitives to a specific local situation in order to stop the flow of waste, collect this waste and bring it back to land with the required efficiency.
Stop the flow of waste
No more waste arrivals in seas and oceans
Protect marine wildlife and livestock
Use of smart clean technologies
Room for innovation
Give a second life to waste
Adaptability to all types of situations, anywhere in the world, at any level of a river’s site
A good story to tell
What makes Salvaytion Unity special for you?
Salvaytion Unity is the story of a guy, like thousands of other guys and girls in the world, who wants to be part of the change. Be part of a positive change towards a better life for the human kind and to clean the world for his future children. This is idealistic but the world needs people like this to move forward.
It is the story of a guy who started cleaning roads, cities, rivers, waterfalls and beaches like thousands of other people around the world because our nature is beautiful.
But he feels alone and wonders whether his little actions will change something in a sustainable way. He wants to be part of the solution and not part of the problem.
The story starts in Zambia in 2013. He realized how dirty the surroundings were during a business trip.
In 2014, he set up a business plan to build a waste management unit and process to clean up the capital. Unfortunetly, LAFARGE was already working on it.
In 2016, he started organizing cleaning actions in the city center of Brussels.
In 2017, he started a blog to reference all actions and technologies the media were talking about for cleaning oceans, beaches, rivers, landscape and cities.
In 2018, he started cleaning belgian rivers by joining people that have been doing it for longer.
After years of research, reading and actions, Salvaytion Unity came to life at a hackathon in March 2018. A team was created and worked out the fundamentals of the project.
Salvaytion Unity is special for people because it recognizes all those acting around the world for a cleaner world but where the expected effectiness of their actions is not enough.
Be part of the global goals for sustainable development
Salvaytion Unity intends to be bounded with at least 3 of the 17 goals for the SD
